profile
The name is Anita Pravitasari. People call me "anita". Likes to prefer her self as "nyt". 20 years old (There. I've changed it). Live in Jakarta-Bandung, Indonesia. In a relationship. Currently taking major in Chemical Engineering ITB. Love to write even more to read. Movie geek. Music lover. Often tired and loves sleep. Cries very easily. Is very friendly. Her ultimate fangirl crush would be with Johnny Deep *dies*. Is a spoiler whore. She hardly use a censoring system when she babbles so read at your own risks.

Here I am, putting all my faith on the table.
And there I was, just thinking that, perhaps, finally,
I could rest my head on something real.

Maybe sometimes it's so much easier to feel defeated.
But no matter what happens, I'm glad I took this ride with you.
I'm glad I'm still right here.
With you.

Sunday 9 September 2007 1:50 pm
Baru balik dari Jakarta tadi naik x-trans jam 8 pagi. Dijemput pacar jam 10. Dijalan kangen2an, padahal cuma 1 hati ga ketemu. Tiba-tiba si unil bilang:

"Kamu cantikan deh."

Gw melongo. Tidak percaya apa yg baru aja gw denger. Dia melanjutkan.

"Kamu gemukan juga."

Yang ini kayaknya ga mungkin. Soalnya kemaren br timbang tapi beratnya msh segitu2 aja. Jangan salah. Gw bukan tkt gmuk tapi malah pengen. Kekurusan bo. Mudah2an gemukan gara2 lemak perut mulai menyebar. amin.

Dia melanjutkan kembali.

"Idung kamu mancungan deh."

HEH? mulai ngawur...

Tapi yang paling atas bikin aku seneng lo yang...

upcoming films I'd like to see
1:45 pm

I had a chat with a friend that has the same book taste with me. Suddenly, she asked me about movie preference. She wanted to know if my movie preference as good as my book preference. And I didn't disappoint her. From that conversation I thought I'd make a list of upcoming films I'd like to see (seeing 25% of these based on being able to ability to afford it and interest). Only listed the films written about in Movie Monthly or movie previews I read online. The Dates are the release date in US. Oh, and this list are subject to change or maybe some could be removed completely.

August

I know it’s too late and August is over already but I haven’t watch them but definitely will. And sometime good movies come late here and when they do release here I don’t have the time, so bare with me.

  • Ratatouille
  • Mr. Brooks
  • Disturbia
  • Rush Hour 3
  • Zodiac
  • Underdog
  • The Invasion
  • Stardust (Aug. 10) – Claire Danes, Charlie Cox, and Sienna Miller in another fantasy-adventure based on Neil Gaiman’s book one of the best fantasy writer. Still haven’t bought American Gods.

September

  • 3:10 To Yuma (Sept. 7) – Christian Bale, Russell Crowe. Usually I have no interest in western section but I’m curious how these two will act together. Most importantly Christian in a western, that’ll be cool.
  • Shoot ‘Em Up (Sept. 7) – Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti with "gunslingers" and "heightened, ridiculous movie violence." Score. Oh, there’s also Monica Belluci, but who care.
  • Across The Universe (Sept. 14) - Beatles musical. Julie Taymor directing. Bono cameo. Please, do not fuck it up.
  • December Boys (Sept. 14) – Daniel Radcliffe in something not HP. It does look interesting though! Besides wanting to see him as someone besides Harry.

October

  • Elizabeth: The Golden Age (Oct. 12) - Cate Blanchett, Geoffrey Rush, Clive Owen. I really love this kind of movie. Have I mentioned how she's one of my favorite actresses? Because she is. Here's hoping this new film is just as good.
  • Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas In 3-D (Oct. 19) – Jack and his creepy gang is back! AND IT'S IN 3-D. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT. Maybe extended scenes but I'm afraid if they did that it'd look horrible. Trippy 3-D it is!
  • Dan In Real Life (Oct. 12) - Steve Carell, Juliette Binoche, Dane Cook. Hi, so I have an embarassing crush on Steve Carell. Fueled by Little Miss Sunshine besides The Office (mostly LMS's fault. I wasn't ecstatic over the movie but I loved him in it.)

November

Always wait for this month. Family time!

  • Bee Movie (Nov. 2) – Jerry Seinfield, Renée Zellweger, Uma Thurman. Another work by DreamWorks. When it was played in Cannes Film Festival they said this movie jokes are more Over The Hedge than Madagascar or even Shrek. But I couldn’t hate 3D movie.
  • Beowulf (Nov. 16) - Ray Winstone, Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins. Didn't care about this film, but now I know Neil Gaiman co-wrote and it looks like a trailer for a PS2 game. Which could be good or bad (bad like TMNT) -- do I want to play a game or watch a movie? Dun dun dun.
  • Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (Nov. 16) - Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Portman, Jason Bateman. Charlie and The Chocolate Factory kind of movie. And when I know Natalie Portman and Jason Bateman are in it, I’m intrigued more.
  • Enchanted (Nov. 21) - Amy Adams, James Marsden, Susan Sarandon, Patrick Dempsey. Classic fairy tales mix with modern nuance will be Disney’s new romance comedy movie. Oh, it'll be pure cheese but I don't care. I’m a fan.
  • Thomas Kinkade's The Christmas Cottage (Nov. 30) - Jared Padalecki, Peter O'Toole, Marcia Gay Harden. Jared playing Thomas Kinkade. "There's a light in you still." It makes no sense but my ass will be there opening day to stare and laugh. LAUGH WITH JOY.

December

I’m sure there will be more added under this month. It’s Christmas!

  • The Golden Compass (Dec. 7) - Daniel Craig, Eva Green, Sam Elliott, Nicole Kidman. With all good fantasy books are being adapted I always wonder when will Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy turn come. Now I know it’s on production I can’t wait.
  • Leatherheads (Dec. 7) - George Clooney, John Krasinski, Renée Zellweger. Clooney and Jim. John. Whatever. And cute Renée . Clooney directing, which adds more coolness to something I'd just go and see because they're both in it.
  • P.S. I Love You (Dec. 21) - Gerard Butler, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, James Marsters, Lisa Kudrow, Kathy Bates, Hilary Swank. Don't really care about Hilary but the Phantom Gerard Butler and John Winchester Jeffrey Dean Morgan in one movie together gives me a happy.
  • Sweeney Todd (Dec. 21) - Johnny Depp, Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen. Yet ANOTHER Depp-Burton movie. With Alan Rickman. AND Helena Bonham Carter. Love her since her appearance in HP. Logically, I will see it.
